Next two days

 Congratulations to our classroom winners. In my eyes, everyone is a winner. When we have had relievers in they have all commented on what an incredible class Room 12 was. We have taken out the Lexia achievement and were tied for first with Room 5 for Math-Whizz. 

I am so proud that you all have taken risks, tried your best and all became friends. I wish you all the best going forward. If you aren't returning to R12 know that this is always a safe spot and I expect that you come and visit.

Thank you to all the parents that supported our classroom programme and your children this year.

Triathlon - 2021

 Well Done Room 12 everyone participated in the run/swim Triathlon. I am so proud of you all for giving it a go. Here are some of the photos I took in my section of the race.

Kia ora whānau, 

Congratulations on making it to the final week of what has been a fun and turbulent school year. Thank you all for the time, dedication and effort you have put into your children's learning, particularly during the lockdown period. 

We have been doing all sorts of crafts, technology projects, science and physical activities during our morning rotations, which the kids have thoroughly enjoyed. Check out our budding beekeepers below! 

We sent school reports home on Friday which included a slip with the name of your child's teacher for 2022. All students will be meeting their new teacher and classmates on Monday. 

Coming up this week: 

Monday - Duathlon 

All children will need to bring their togs, towel, hat and sneakers. They can wear their house colours or PE uniform, please ensure all items are named. Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions, there will be no spectators allowed. Tuesday - Prizegiving. Once again, unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, there will be no spectators allowed.

Thursday - School finishes at 12:00.

Other messages: The school magazine can be bought for $10.

Save Our Babies Annual Christmas School Bag Kaupapa Kahira Olley, the founder of Save Our Babies Charitable Trust, runs an annual Christmas school bag kaupapa. This means that children get a school bag full of gifts.

If any of the St Mary’s community would like to support this she is hoping for some school bags for 12-16 year olds.

You are welcome to donate a bag full or just a bag or just something to go in the bag.

Some ideas are - a dress (to wear Christmas Day)

- a pair of shorts and a t.shirt

- a pack of underwear

- toiletries and nice smellies

- game

- chocolates/lollies/goodies

- Lastly, don’t forget the school bag.
